The Dorn family came to Karl Performance to get their daughter Avery behind the wheel of a beautiful classic car at an early age. They worked with our team at Karl Performance to recreate a 1959 Impala that has been in the Dorn family for years and means a lot to their family. The team at Karl Performance started out with a body and chassis and let the imagination run wild from there. With some custom chassis modification to better fit the body, Karl Performance was off to a good start. The car then headed to our state of the art body shop to ensure everything was prepped correctly, the lines were straight, and everything was ready for a premiere paint job. Ed Birmingham of our paint department then let his skills run wild to replicate how a real 1959 Impala came from the factory. Once the base paint was laid down he then went to his air brush to really polish this masterpiece off. The headlights, tail lights, grill, convertible top, windshield, and everything else was brought together nicely with all of the finishing touches. Once the paint was complete the pedal car headed off to the upholstery department where it received a custom interior made from the material of an original '59 Impala. When everything was said and done Karl Performance was very happy to be apart of this family's dream build and is excited for Avery to get behind the wheel in style from an early age! For your project, big or small, give our team at Karl Performance a call at 515-963-8788 to get started today!
